Community Participation

Our members display their work at venues around town like the library and group events. Pieces are also entered into national shows and often come home with awards.

Seattle Miniature Show

Peggy entered her latest project, “Picket Pond” in the Seattle Miniatures Show. She was awarded “Best in Show”! This was the first time the Seattle Show had awarded best in show to a quarter scale entry. Peggy’s multi-media scene includes rich detail inside and out. In addition, it has realistic landscaping complete with twinkling fireflies and croaking frogs.

Mini Worlds Youth Camp

In the summer of 2018 some club members conducted a Mini Worlds camp at the Sheldon Community Center. We submitted an article describing it to American Miniaturist magazine.

Public Library Exhibit

Each fall our club sets up a display at the Eugene Public Library in the children’s section. Members select projects of interest to children like a scene representing a page in a children’s story.

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church

The church recognizes the talent in the community by featuring artists. Our club was invited to share miniature houses, scenes and roomboxes in all popular scales.
